ein echtes Profilbild sagt doch gar nichts aus. Wer will schon wissen, wie jemand aussieht, bevor man mit dem schreiben/flirten/daten anfängt?!

Echt doof, dass wir bei g33kdating nur echte Bilder als Profilbilder zulassen. Aussehen und Ausstrahlung ist total überbewertet!!!!

Also, haben wir mal die besten Tipps, Tricks und Versuche zusammengefasst, wie man umgehen kann, ein echtes Bild von sich zu zeigen. Das ist unser "Best-of" der letzten Jahre!

wir schwitzen pixel und die Kaffeemaschine hat soeben eine Gewerkschaft gegründet, aber: Das Update ist LIVE!!!!

Gönn dir g33kdating 3.0 auf Android, Apple (ja, endlich!), Web-App (g33kdating.com auf deinem Handy-Browser öffnen)und natürlich Desktop!

Wie bei jedem umfangreichen Update, gibt es natürlich auch noch ein paar Baustellen - Der erfahrene Geek kennt das ja *g

Derzeit bekannte Probleme, an denen wir bereits arbeiten:

Anmeldung über Android

Wir mussten feststellen, dass manche bei der Registrierung Fehlermeldungen bekommen und das Profil daher nicht vollständig ausgefüllt wird. Wir schalten diese Profile ausnahmsweise trotzdem frei mit dem Hinweis, das Profil im nach hinein zu editieren, damit es vollständig wird und den Vorgaben entspricht. Sorry für die Umstände.

Interface grau - Android

Bei manchen sieht die App nach dem Update sehr grau aus, keine Links und Bilder sind erkennbar. Bitte einfach die App löschen und neu installieren. Dann ist das Problem gelöst (Lösch aber bitte nicht deinen Account, nur die App)

Treat yourself to g33kdating 3.0 on Android, Apple (yes, finally!), Web-App (open g33kdating.com on your mobile browser) and of course Desktop!

Currently known issues that we are already working on:

Registration via Android

We had to find out that some get error messages during registration and therefore the profile is not filled out completely. We will activate these profiles anyway with the note to edit the profile afterwards, so that it becomes complete and meets the requirements. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Interface gray - Android

For some, the app looks very gray after the update, no links and images are recognizable. Please just delete the app and reinstall it. Then the problem is solved (But please don’t delete your account, just the app)

wir haben eine bombastische Nachricht für euch: g33kdating 3.0 kommt! Das ist das größte Update seit Jahren und es bringt euch jede Menge neue und verbesserte Features, die euer Dating-Erlebnis auf ein neues Level katapultieren werden.

Hier sind einige der Highlights, die ihr auf keinen Fall verpassen dürft:

Matchmaking Preferences Seite für App-Nutzer

Ihr könnt nun eure Präferenzen für potenzielle Partner angeben, wie z.B. Alter, Geschlecht, Ort, Interessen, etc. So bekommt ihr nur die besten Vorschläge und mehr Kompatibilität.

PHP 8 und Android 12 Unterstützung

Wir haben die nötigen Schritte unternommen, um die Lade- und Reaktionszeiten zu verbessern. Die App sieht für Android-Nutzer attraktiver und moderner aus, da sie sich an die neuesten Design-Richtlinien anpasst.

Slider Form Element

Ihr könnt nun eure Antworten auf bestimmte Fragen mit einem Schieberegler angeben, anstatt eine Zahl einzugeben oder aus einer Liste auszuwählen. Das macht die Profilerstellung und -bearbeitung einfacher und intuitiver.

Und das ist noch lange nicht alles! Wir haben auch eine Menge Bugfixes und Verbesserungen vorgenommen, die euer Web- und App-Erlebnis verbessern.

Wir sind mega stolz auf dieses Update und wir hoffen, dass es euch gefällt!

Release Planung: Der aktuelle Plan (vorbehaltlich kleiner Änderungen, wie immer) sieht vor, dass wir dieses Update am Mittwoch, den 5. Juli ausrollen. Ihr könnt die App nur nutzen, wenn ihr sie aktualisiert, da es einige bedeutende Änderungen am Code gibt.

Aus Erfahrung wissen wir, dass das Android-Update ziemlich schnell angewendet werden sollte, während Apple einige Zeit, manchmal Tage, brauchen kann, um das Update tatsächlich anzuwenden. Das liegt nicht in unserer Hand und wir können nur auf ihre Zustimmung warten.

Die Web-App (wenn ihr g33kdating.com auf dem Browser eures Handys öffnet) wird sofort verfügbar sein. Also öffnet die Web-App und genießt das App-Designs und alle App-Funktionen vom Komfort eures eigenen Browsers aus! Ihr könnt sogar das Icon installieren und die Web-App auf eurem Home-Bildschirm haben - genau wie eine App aus dem App-Store.

we have great news for you:g33kdating 3.0 is coming! This is the biggest update in years and it brings you many new and improved features that will take your dating experience to a new level.

Here are some of the highlights that you don’t want to miss:

Matchmaking Preferences Page for App-Users

You can now specify your preferences for potential partners, such as age, gender, location, interests, etc. This way you get only the best suggestions and more compatibility.

PHP 8 and Android 12 support

Making the necessary steps to improve loading and response times. The app looks more attractive and modern for Android users as it adapts to the latest design guidelines.

Slider Form Element

You can now indicate your answers to certain questions with a slider instead of entering a number or choosing from a list. This makes profile creation and editing easier and more intuitive.

And that’s not all! We have also made a ton of bug fixes and improvements, enhancing your overall Web and App experience

We are very proud of this update and we hope you like it. We have worked hard to provide you with the best dating experience for gamers, otakus, geeks and nerds.

Release Planning:

The current plan (subject to small changes, as always) sees us roll out this update on Wednesday, the 5th  of July. You will only continue to be able to use the app if you update it, since there are some significant changes to the coding.

Speaking from experience, the Android-Update should be applied pretty fast, while Apple can take some time, sometimes days to actually apply the update. This is not in our control and we can only wait for the approval.

The Web-App (when you open g33kdating.com on your phone´s browser) will be available right away. So feel free to use the Web-App, including the app-design and all app-features from the comfort of your own browser right away!

You can even install the icon and have the web-app available on your home screen - just like an app from the app-store.
